SMUTI has been shortlisted for the Ground Engineering Awards, in the category “Award for equipment innovation”. The awards ceremony will be on 5th July 2017, where the winners will be announced!
At the awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Thursday 8th December 2016, SMUTI won both awards it was entered into, against some high quality competition. The awards were: Technology Innovation of the Year and Technical Innovation of the Year.

ITA Austria has awarded Inbye Engineering an award for “International Contribution to Strengthen the NATM”, for the innovation SMUTI – Strength Monitoring Using Thermal Imaging. The award was made by Prof. Robert Galler at the Austrian Tunnel Day on 12th October 2016.
Work has begun to implement smuti on the Oberau Tunnel project in southern Germany. This is the first project undertaken by the new partnership of Inbye Engineering and Munich-based Matrics Engineering GmbH. The Oberau Tunnel is a 2×2 lane road bypass of the village of Oberau, which sits on the road from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The tunnel is being constructed by drill and blast and is approximately 3km long.
Inbye Engineering has entered into a partnership with Matrics Engineering GmbH, a specialist R&D and consulting company based in Munich, to deliver smuti in Central Europe.
